A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting the Ferguson family. Stephanie had mentioned that she would be happy to do an urban downtown shoot so we met at the Bessborough hotel and took a few pictures by the river before winding our way through a few of Saskatoon's back alleys and parking garages. I love the textures and colours that back alleys offer as a backdrop to photoshoots. Here are some of the highlights from our shoot.
This was my first "winter" shoot of the season. Thank goodness it was only -1 (the next day it was closer to -20). I had so much fun with these two. Rachel had said that they really liked photographs sets in nature so I suggested we head over to Furdale Dog Park and take their maternity photos there. I like that location because there is a variety of different backdrops: prairie, woods, and river scenes. These two didn't mind that we had lots of dogs run up to us and say hello, and we provided lots of entertainment for dog walkers! A few weeks ago we had a family shoot with Piper to celebrate her 18 month milestone. Mom was just about to go back to work after a year and a half's maternity leave and I can't think of a better way to celebrate than taking some time to have photos taken and freezing this moment in time. I'm so glad we had the shoot when we did as the following week winter winds blew all the leaves off the trees. It was my last "fall" photo shoot. |
